the grape and the vine

about

this track is what came out of my brain after listening to a whole bunch of bowery electric. I originally wasn't planning on including it on the album, but listeners' positive feedback made me reconsider.

lyrics

feed me with solitude
satiate my need for knives and needles
and bleed me to desiccation
let the noble rot set in
skin withered and blistered
distill my history
inter me into intoxicant
but keep only the meekest sweetness
feed me with all your moods
misconstrued and unrenewed
feed me with tannic toxins
and box me in to your mold
controlled past my peak
until I am nothing more
than must
